Polytechnic Admission Circular 2022

Polytechnic Admission Circular 2022 was published by the Technical Education Board on January 04, 2024. The circular provides the necessary instructions for admission in diploma engineering in all government and non-government polytechnic institutes. Admission Eligibility

We have highlighted the eligibility criteria to qualify for admission to the 4-year diploma course at different points.

• Applicants must have passed SSC or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 and 2024 to apply.
• The male candidates have to have a total GPA of 3.50 in SSC. Along with this, a GPA requirement of 3.00 point in general math or higher math is also needed.
• The female candidates have to have a total GPA of 3.00 in SSC. Along with this, a GPA requirement of 3.00 point in general math or higher math is also needed.
• The candidates passed the 2-year trade course under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board can also apply.
• There is a minimum of 2.50 GPA requirements to apply in the private polytechnic.

Application Deadline

Those who want to get admission in 4-year diploma engineering will have to apply online. The application for Government Polytechnic will be held from 7 June to 31 June. And the application period for the private polytechnic is from 13 June to 20 July. No other application will be accepted after that mentioned time.

Polytechnic Application Fee

To apply, a fee of TK.150 will be charged for every shift. You could pay your admission fee through Teletalk, Rocket, and Surecash. You have to pay a total of TK. 300 as fee if you want to apply for two shifts.

Application Media

Applicants need to apply online from the Technical Education Board website. But before that, the application fee has to be paid. To apply online, click on http://btebadmission.gov.bd/

Polytechnic Application Results

After your application, the candidates will be chosen considering their results. Then the results of the application will be published. The candidates applied in the Government Polytechnic Institutes would get the results published on June 7 and June 10. And the results of private polytechnic institutes would be published on June 25. In all cases, you are going to get the results published through SMS and on the website.

How Many Colleges You Can Apply For

Any candidate can apply for a maximum of 10 polytechnic institutes at the same time for the 4-year diploma engineering. However, in this case, the candidate will have to arrange the institutes according to the order of preference.

Merit List Selection Process

The merit list will be prepared based on the applicants SSC GPA, choice preference, quota and other conditions. However, the highest priority would be given on the SSC GPA.

Polytechnic Admission Period

The admission process will be going on from the main merit list from June 8 to June 20 in the government polytechnic institutes. However, the admission process for diploma courses in agriculture will continue from June 11 to June 25. And in private polytechnics, the admission process will be continuing from June 26 to July 15 from the main merit list. Depending on the vacant seats, the admission process is going to start from 25 June to 5 July in the government institutes from the waiting list. All the admission activities must be completed within this period.

Starting Date of The Classes

In the academic year of 2024-2022, the classes will be started from 11th July in all types of government and private polytechnic institutes. It has been compulsory to have the 90% class attendance for attending the examinations.
